  High Point Of Your Day
Ever wonder what infinity looks like? A quick trip to Schweitzer’s top-of-the-world Sky House will give you a pretty good idea.
Feast your eyes on stunning 360-degree panoramas that take in three states and three mountain ranges, plus Canada and the splendor of the sprawling Lake Pend Oreille.
This is an out-of-the-ordinary experience that immerses you in an exhilarating state of wow.
Sky House is not only a refreshing, refueling stopover but an extraordinary year-round dining destination for skiers, boarders, hikers and bikers. The two restaurants—Nest Restaurant and Bar and Red Hawk Café—have two different menus; however, you can order from any menu in any venue.
You’ll find a diversity of tastes and a range of heartiness with a selection of lighter globally inspired dishes, savory small plates as well as down-home specialties that’ll give you double diamond energy. Almost everything is made fresh and locally sourced.
Lounging on deck with a flavorful thirst quencher—whether it’s a regionally brewed beer or a veggie-stuffed Bloody Mary—is a people-watcher’s favorite.
Non-skiers are always welcome, winter and summer. Just grab a speedy lift up the mountain or, during the summer, power your way on foot via the Nature Trail. Either way you’ll spend both a relaxing and lively time enjoying a snack, meal or your favorite beverage against the most magnificent backdrop in all of Idaho.
As you would guess, weddings, rehearsal dinners, business gatherings and private group events are spectacular here. For info, visit: groupsales@schweitzer.com.

You can also come up the backside of Schweitzer from nearby Priest Lake on snowmobiles or motorbikes. “It’s a fun 45-minute ride up groomed trails,” says frequent guest and snowmobiler Dave Spencer. “We go in a group of eight to ten friends, but we’ve had as many as 30 zoom up for lunch to experience the absolutely phenomenal views. Skiers we meet are surprised
we came all the way from Priest Lake. Then they look out the window and say, ‘Oh yeah, I get it.”
